The VP, Technical Product Strategy & Delivery is responsible for leading the strategy, investment priorities, and evolution of AARP's digital product portfolio, ensuring digital capabilities align with enterprise priorities, member needs, and long-term organizational objectives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technology executives to shape product direction, inform investment decisions, and deliver scalable, reusable capabilities that create value across the enterprise. The VP, leads the technical product management organization and establishes the vision, operating model, and practices that enabling innovation across digital products, platforms, and emerging technologies, while fostering a culture of customer focus, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for ensuring product investments are strategically aligned, technically sound, and positioned to support AARP's future growth and digital transformation.
Responsibilities:

Defines and drives the enterprise digital product strategy, ensuring product investments align to organizational priorities, member needs, business outcomes, and long-term growth objectives.
- Serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership and technology leaders, influencing enterprise priorities, shaping digital investment decisions, and ensuring technical product strategy advances organizational goals and member outcomes.
- Owns the technical product portfolio prioritization, roadmap governance, and investment recommendations, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value opportunities and measurable outcomes.
- Leads the technical product portfolio performance and delivery of scalable, reusable digital capabilities that enable organizational priorities and business outcomes.
- Ensures technical products and digital experiences are designed around member needs, delivering meaningful outcomes that strengthen engagement, trust, and long-term relationships.
- Establishes and champions technical product management across the enterprise, building a high-performing technical product discipline grounded in customer focus, strategic thinking, accountability, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
- Develops technical product capabilities and establishes modern product management frameworks, operating models, and ways of working that enable organizational success.
- Leads the enterprise’s adoption of AI-enabled technical product management and delivery practices, leveraging emerging technologies to accelerate innovation, improve decision-making, enhance member experiences, and transform organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in product management, digital product strategy, technology delivery, or digital transformation, including experience leading enterprise-scale product organizations and portfolios.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise digital product strategies, investment roadmaps, and portfolio plans that align technology capabilities with business objectives, customer needs, and long-term organizational growth.
- Proven experience overseeing product portfolio governance, prioritization, investment planning, and resource allocation, ensuring delivery of high-value initiatives and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong expertise in technical product management, digital platforms, emerging technologies, AI-enabled product practices, and modern product operating models within complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership, technology organizations, and business stakeholders to influence strategic decisions, drive innovation, and advance enterprise priorities.
- Experience building and leading high-performing product management teams, establishing frameworks, governance structures, performance measures, and best practices that foster accountability, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
