Build a meaningful career in financial services with New York Life
Are you looking for a career where you can grow into a trusted advisor, build long-term client relationships, and help families and business owners make confident financial decisions?
At New York Life, we’re hiring motivated professionals who want to develop into wealth advisors. This opportunity is designed for people who are entrepreneurial, coachable, relationship-driven, and serious about building a long-term career in financial services.
As a Wealth Advisor Associate, you’ll receive training, mentorship, digital tools, and business development support while learning how to help clients protect their income, build wealth, prepare for retirement, plan for college, and create financial strategies for their families and businesses.
This is not a typical sales job. It is a career path for someone who wants purpose, independence, professional growth, and the opportunity to build a client-centered financial practice.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Build relationships with individuals, families, professionals, and business owners
- Help clients identify financial goals, protection needs, and long-term planning priorities
- Educate clients on life insurance, retirement strategies, annuities, long-term care, disability income protection, college savings, and investment solutions
- Develop customized recommendations based on each client’s needs and goals
- Grow your client base through referrals, networking, community involvement, and relationship-building
- Learn how to manage a professional financial services practice
- Work toward licensing and advanced career opportunities in financial advising and wealth management
- Partner with experienced professionals, mentors, and leadership as you grow
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for candidates who are:
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
- Competitive, disciplined, and goal-oriented
- Coachable and eager to learn
- Strong communicators who enjoy building relationships
- Passionate about helping people make smart financial decisions
- Professional, trustworthy, and authentic
- Interested in wealth management, financial planning, business ownership, or leadership
- Comfortable with performance-based growth and income potential
Prior financial services experience is not required. Candidates from banking, sales, business development, education, hospitality, recruiting, real estate, customer service, leadership, athletics, and entrepreneurship often do well in this career.
