Pipeline Construction Safety Advisor
We are seeking a Safety Specialist to support pipeline and facilities construction projects by promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring contractor compliance, and providing technical health and safety guidance in the field.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical health and safety support for pipeline and facilities construction projects.
- Conduct regular field inspections, construction safety audits, and site observations to ensure compliance with company policies, contractor safety plans, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with company construction teams, inspectors, contractors, and safety personnel to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Monitor contractor compliance with project-specific safety plans and company Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Participate in pre-construction planning activities and support safe project execution from mobilization through completion.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and management reviews.
- Support construction personnel in developing and implementing project safety plans.
- Provide coaching and guidance to inspectors and contractor personnel regarding company safety policies and safe work practices.
- Verify project safety meetings are conducted regularly and effectively.
- Ensure project safety plans and procedures remain current and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Promote a positive safety culture through leadership, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Contractor Safety Leads to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and reinforce safe work practices.
- Document inspections, audits, observations, and compliance activities accurately and professionally.
Minimum Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Competent Person (Excavation) certification from an accredited training organization
- Current First Aid / CPR certification
- Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in Safety (or related discipline) with 3+ years of relevant Health & Safety experience
- Experience within the energy industry
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety risk management processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and standard reporting systems)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
- Valid Driver's License

- HAZWOPER Certification
- Pipeline construction experience
- Pipeline facilities construction experience
- Experience supporting contractors on large capital construction projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, inspectors, construction management, and field personnel
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work on uneven terrain.
