Job Summary
As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of our furry guests. This energetic position involves providing exceptional care and support to dogs in our facility while maintaining a clean and safe environment. You’ll engage with dogs daily, assisting with their needs and ensuring they receive the attention they deserve. What you’ll do
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, cleaning, and exercise.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to managerial staff promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Support the dogs to promote good behavior and socialization skills.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss dog care practices and improvements.
Basic qualifications
- 18 & older
- Available for shifts 645-12pm, 2-7pm, weekends, and some holidays
- Must LOVE dogs and be dependable and reliable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or moving equipment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in animal handling or care, preferably in a kennel or veterinary setting.
- Customer service experience to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
