Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time Phlebotomist - Floater in our Spartanburg, SC locations. This position will heavily be responsible for phlebotomy. Hours are 8am-5pmEST Mon-Thurs.

The Position:
The Phlebotomist - Floater will be responsible for assisting the provider with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for patients of the practice. This position will primarily be phlebotomy, however it will be required to float between Medical Assistant, Patient Services Representative and Phlebotomy.
As a Phlebotomist - Floater, a typical day might look like:

Assisting CMA and referral coordinator as needed.

Getting patient vitals, height weight allergies, current medications, and all medical history.

Consults with physicians and patients regarding patient care as it relates to phlebotomy service issues.

Obtains quality blood or other required specimens using a variety of pheloboty methods.

Ensure patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights by observing HIPAA regulations.

Follows laboratory procedures for collecting specimens in the appropriate container.

Update charts and track paperwork to completion.

Cleaning and prepare examination rooms, equipment, and tools per protocol.

Provides education to patients for proper collection techniques.

Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; stock and maintain phlebotomy inventory while maintaining cleanliness and organization and disposes of contaminated items according to protocol.

Perform departmental- related clerical duties such: checking inventory, stock supplies, track referral, and answer phones as needed.

Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.

This job might be for you if:

High School degree or equivalent.

Experience in a clinical setting.

Experience and ability to navigate an EMR.

Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.

Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. -
You are familiar with Epic or another EMR.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician preferred.
-
Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
-
3+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
