We are searching for a team-oriented and organized individual to join our small, privately-owned dermatology practice. This would start as a part-time position and transition to full-time in August.
Job description:
- Schedule initial, follow-up and in-office procedures.
- Obtain patient information and verify insurance
- Communicate with patients via email and phone
- Transfer calls to appropriate person, i.e. medical assistant, billing coordinator
- Abide by HIPAA laws and regulations regarding personal medical and financial information.
- Inform patients of pertinent office policies
- Obtain prior authorizations and referrals
- Exhibit strong customer service skills
- Display a strong team member attitude
- Dermatology experience is a definite plus
- Electronic medical records experience a must. Preferably ModMed(EMA)
- Join our Dermatology family- we are a small private practice
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Bilingual is a plus
- Medical scheduling experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge (1 -2 year experience preferred)
- Computer proficiency (word, e-mail, excel, etc.)

- Job will start as part-time and transition to full-time (Monday-Friday) in August
