You will create accurate technical drawings from field data and support daily office operations. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of technical design and administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities
- Drafting: Prepare boundary surveys, topographic maps, and plot plans using CAD software.
- Data Processing: Interpret field notes, sketches, and legal descriptions to create digital drawings.
- File Management: Organize, assemble, and maintain physical and digital project job files.
- Customer Service: Answer incoming phone calls and route inquiries to the correct team member.
- Office Support: Perform general administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
Qualifications and Skills
- CAD Proficiency: Proven experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting software.
- Spatial Literacy: Ability to read and understand survey maps, engineering plans, and deeds.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone and email correspondence.
- Organization: Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Bonus Skill: Quickbooks experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software to meet project specifications and standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret design concepts into technical schematics
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and details for various projects
- Incorporate system design principles and mechanical design elements into drafting projects as needed
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry codes
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings, ensuring version control and easy accessibility for team members
