Summit Truck Bodies, located in Wathena, KS, is looking for a Manufacturing Programmer to operate and monitor robotic press brakes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Import Bill of Materials into automated software.
-
Make programming adjustments in taught computer manufacturing software.
-
Verify parts are manufacturable and being made correctly.

Troubleshoot minor positioning errors or software glitches.

Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment.

Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods.

Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.

Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.

Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.

Prior experience in manufacturing machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.

Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.

Knowledge in Google Sheets or Excel is a plus.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting of priorities.

Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
