Job Summary
Accu-sembly, Inc., a well-established contract manufacturer of electronic assemblies, has an opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer. We are specifically interested on candidates that have direct procurement experience in electronic components and parts. Duties
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, utilizing ERP systems to streamline procurement workflows.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Manage procurement activities including purchase order creation, materials management, and logistics coordination to support manufacturing and production planning.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or quality issues to implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on category management, supply chain optimization, and demand forecasting using MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and company policies during all procurement processes.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier evaluations, and manage ongoing supplier relationships to ensure supply chain resilience.
Experience
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in procurement management or purchasing within the electronic assembly space.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems. Accu-sembly uses MAS90 as its supply chain management tool. Experience in MAS90 is a BIG PLUS.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with procurement best practices including category management, logistics, pricing strategies, and quality management standards. Accu-sembly works closely with vendors like Future Electronics, Arrow Electronics, Mouser, and Digi-Key. Candidates with familiarity of these vendors will be prioritized.
- Experience working within federal acquisition regulations and purchasing requirements under ISO9001, AS9100, and ITAR environment. Candidates with this background will be prioritized.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements.
- Prior exposure to materials management, production planning, and supply chain operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent skills in Excel, Smartsheet, and other Microsoft platforms are basic expectation.
- Familiarity with schematics and gerber files is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
