Long Island based world-leader in critical preparation materials, dedicated to advancement of surfacing and polishing technologies, is seeking a Production Associate. Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Associate I, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the success of our production processes. In this role, you will be an essential part of manufacturing products following procedures by identifying raw materials, measuring and calculating appropriate weights according to the procedure and ensuring products meets our quality standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate production equipment following SOP’s
- Process production orders based on formulas documented on procedures and BOM’s
- Ability to convert pounds to grams, pounds to kilograms and other conversions as required
- Measure and mix slurries and chemicals for internal evaluations
- Pulling Inventory for Production orders and other related task as required
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
- Inventory Control
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- some college courses preferred
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing required
- Strong mathematical skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, process controls, and quality systems
- Ability to read and interpret production orders a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis
- Experience with measurements and production orders a must
- Experience in pulling material for BOM’s and utilizing scanners along with bar code readers
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Attention to detail required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to cross train in all Production area required
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment a must

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
