Fine Cut Woodwork is dedicated to crafting high-quality, custom cabinetry, furniture, and millwork. We are looking for an experienced woodworker and skilled cabinet maker to join our team and make an immediate impact as a Lead Woodworker! This role requires someone who is organized and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative shop environment. Candidates without any prior millwork/woodwork shop experience will not be considered.

Location: Shop located in Long Island City, NY 11101 (less than 5 minutes from 7 and G trains)
Job Description:
As a Woodworker, you will be responsible for constructing and installing cabinets and other custom woodwork. Your craftsmanship will help us maintain our reputation for exceptional quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Perform machine operations: jointing, planing, shaping, ripping, re-sawing, and chopping
- Perform power tool tasks: drilling, routing, driving, biscuit/domino cutting
- Perform hand tool tasks: planing, chisel work, fastening, glue-ups
- Perform finishing tasks: grain popping, filling, sanding, and inspecting for quality
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials
- Assemble and finish cabinetry and furniture pieces
- Install cabinets on-site, ensuring precision and quality
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials and finished products
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Maintain tools and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Provide informal guidance or support to junior team members as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum (8) years of experience as a woodworker or cabinet maker
- Proven ability to read shop drawings, generate cut lists, fabricate, assemble, and install millwork and/or cabinets with or without the help of an assistant or helper
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
