Growing Cardiology Clinic in Tempe is looking for a bilingual (Spanish speaking) Medical Assistant to assist us in our growth. Must possess a STRONG command of written English and be able to chart accurately in Electronic Medical Records. He or she will work with other M.A.(s), Manager, staff and one M.D. and three N.P.'s
This is a full-time position with regular and extended office hours, details to be given at the time of the interview.
Prefer candidates with at least one year experience.

Duties will involve both the back and front office responsibilities.

Responsibilities of Medical Assistant:
*Performs all medical assistant responsibilities as requested in accordance with our policies and procedures.
*Will be responsible for front desk duties that consist of, but are not limited to, answering phones, making appointments, verifying insurances, and scheduling tests.
*Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit.
*Will need to bring patient from lobby into the appropriate exam room.
*Accurately updates and records patient medications and allergies in patient chart upon each visit.
*Preps patient as necessary for testing.
*Is able to measure blood pressure/vital signs, EKGs, ABI's as needed.
*Ensures completed testing is presented to appropriate personnel.
*Completes the prescription and refill process within 24 hours of receipt.
*Processes staff and patient incoming calls, faxes and inquiries.
*Performs patient checkout and scheduling of appointments as needed.
*Maintains supply inventory in exam rooms.
*Attends all mandatory staff meetings.
*Complies with all OSHA and HIPAA policies along with all policies and procedures established by TCC.
*Utilizes AIDET/customer service standards and demonstrates TCC Standards of Behavior.
*Demonstrates behavior that is professional and commensurate with the position and is in accordance to TCC Standards of Behavior.
*Maintains a professional and courteous environment.
*Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality.
*Other routine duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements
MA Certificate, Certification preferred.
Current BCLS certification.
Bilingual, with fluency in spoken and written English and spoken Spanish.
Successful completion of job related competencies on an annual basis.
