Summary
This hybrid role will involve both bartending and serving duties, ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. The Bartender/Server will be customer-focused, with a passion for hospitality and a strong knowledge of beverages, food service, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bartending Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all tools and supplies are available.
- Check identification to verify customers are of legal drinking age.
- Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption, ensuring responsible service.
- Assist with bar setup, restocking, and closing duties at the end of shifts.
- Serving Duties:
- Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure guests’ needs are met throughout their meal, including refills, special requests, and checking back for satisfaction.
- Handle payments, including processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Upsell food & beverages when appropriate, promoting daily specials & signature drinks.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Create a positive and friendly atmosphere for guests, providing personalized service.
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
- Cleaning and Organization:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the bar and dining areas.
- Clear tables, clean glasses, & restock service areas to ensure readiness for the next guest.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with setting up dining areas, including laying out silverware, arranging seating, and making sure tables are prepared for guests.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations:
- Follow all health, safety, and liquor service regulations, including handling and storing alcohol safely.
- Ensure proper storage of glassware, bar tools, and ingredients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or server is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, including cocktails, wine, and beer.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining individual responsibility.
- Servers must be 18 years or older.
- Bartenders must be 21 years or older.
- Washington State Food Worker Card and MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
· Social media and marketing experience preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods, often throughout an entire shift.
- Frequently bending and reaching to retrieve items from shelves, stock supplies, or clean surfaces.
- Carrying trays of food, drinks, or supplies weighing up to 25–50 lbs.
- Lifting kegs, cases of beverages, or other inventory items when restocking the bar or service areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.82 - $23.00 per hour
