VP of Finance
International Computer Concepts (ICC) — Hybrid, Northbrook, IL — Full-time
Department: Finance & Accounting | Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
TAKE A 35-YEAR SUCCESS STORY TO ITS NEXT LEVEL
For 35 years, International Computer Concepts (ICC) has designed and built some of the most demanding datacenter and HPC infrastructure in the world — profitably, every year, with finance and accounting handled capably within the family. Now, as ICC enters its next phase of rapid growth, we're hiring a VP of Finance to take that strong foundation to the next level and scale the finance function to match where the company is headed.
This is an opportunity for an experienced finance leader who has helped scale a growing private company's finance function, strengthened its accounting and reporting, and gotten a business ready for its next stage of growth. You'll own Accounting and FP&A end to end — from monthly close to board-ready reporting — and work directly with the CEO and ownership to take a function that's always gotten the job done and elevate it for ICC's next chapter. If you like scaling serious financial infrastructure on top of a strong foundation, keep reading.
ABOUT ICC
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, International Computer Concepts custom-engineers the datacenter servers, GPU/AI clusters, and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure behind some of the world's most demanding workloads — from AI training and inference, to ultra-low-latency financial trading, to large-scale scientific research and visual effects.
We're a family-owned, US-based company with more than 35 years of history, in-house engineering and manufacturing in Illinois, and a global footprint with offices in London and Kuala Lumpur. As an NVIDIA Partner of the Year and a multi-year Intel and AMD partner-award winner, we work at the leading edge of compute — custom chassis, immersion and direct-liquid cooling, firmware tuning, and overclocking — and we've been recognized on the Inc. 5000 and CRN's Fast Growth 150 as one of the fastest-growing companies in our space.
We're now entering our next phase of rapid growth — a defining next step for a 35-year-old family business that has been profitable every year of its history. This role sits at the center of getting our financial foundation ready for that next chapter.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As VP of Finance, you'll own both Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the company. You'll run the monthly close and financial statements, scale (and eventually lead) the accounting team, and partner with the CEO and ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and board- and investor-level reporting.
This is a role to scale institutional-grade finance on top of a business that's already proven itself — not to fix something broken. You'll have direct access to the CEO and ownership, real authority over how the function is designed, and the chance to shape ICC's finance function for its next chapter.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare us for investor discussions. Own the financial reporting, data room materials, and diligence support for ICC's upcoming capital raise — including quality-of-earnings readiness, adjusted EBITDA bridges, and recurring investor and board reporting packages.
- Design internal processes and controls. Strengthen our internal control environment, segregation of duties, and financial processes to match our next stage of growth.
- Own accounting operations. Run monthly close, financial statements, AR/AP, and the general ledger; scale the accounting team as the company and its reporting needs grow.
- Lead FP&A. Build annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis; develop KPI reporting and dashboards for leadership and, eventually, the board.
- Manage cash and working capital. Improve AR collections and aging, working capital management, banking relationships, and cash forecasting.
- Own tax and compliance coordination. Partner with outside CPA and tax advisors on entity structure, multi-state and international considerations (we have operations in the UK and Malaysia), and credits such as R&D.
- Evaluate and improve systems. Assess our ERP and finance systems and reporting, and drive improvements so financial data reconciles cleanly across sales, operations, and the P&L.
- Partner across the business. Be the financial thought partner to the CEO, ownership, and department leaders on pricing, investment, and strategic decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Must-have:
- 10–15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leading Accounting and FP&A for a growing company — ideally in the $100M–$500M revenue range.
- Experience managing the external audit process, working closely with outside auditors.
- Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated experience maintaining and improving GAAP-compliant accounting processes.
- Experience preparing financial materials for external investors, lenders, or a capital raise — board packages, data rooms, quality of earnings.
- A track record of designing and implementing internal controls and financial processes at a fast-growing company.
- Strong FP&A skills — budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI/board reporting.
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor and people leader at the same time — this role scales our small team.
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting financials to ownership, executives, and outside investors.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in a private, family-owned, or founder-led business transitioning to institutional ownership (private equity or growth-equity backed).
- Experience with international or multi-entity consolidation — we have operations in the UK and Malaysia.
- Experience in the technology, hardware, or distribution industry.
- Experience with ERP evaluation, implementation, or financial systems improvement.
- CPA license or equivalent, ideally with public accounting experience.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an MBA.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

- A profitable, growing company. 35 years of continuous profitability, recognized on the Inc. 5000 and CRN's Fast Growth 150, now investing in its next phase of growth.
- A defining moment. You'll be central to one of the most consequential stretches in the company's history — its first outside capital raise.
- Marquee customers and partners. ICC's infrastructure powers leading AI, research, and financial trading organizations, as an NVIDIA Partner of the Year and multi-year Intel/AMD partner-award winner.
