Position Description: Donor Engagement Director
The Donor Engagement Director serves to increase the capacity of a rapidly growing organization by bolstering a portfolio of individual and corporate partnerships across Central Kansas. This full-time position is under the supervision of the Major Gifts Director. .
Compensation: Base salary of $60,000 / year with performance-based incentives, monthly phone stipend, and mileage reimbursement. Professional Scouting offers benefits to include major medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and accidental death; compensation for authorized and approved business-related expenses; generous Vacation/PTO and holiday observances. Scouting matches 50% of 403(b) contributions up to 9% of base salary.
Responsibilities:
· Aggressively prospect and solicit support for the annual Investment in Character campaign. Steward strong relationships with a portfolio of supporters and community partners through exceptional service, thoughtful recognition, personal communications, curated experiences, and meaningful interactions.
· Manage the planning and execution of one signature ask event and provide support for all other special events. Support the Special Events Manager in the process of prospecting and soliciting local financial support for special events. Recruit and work closely with volunteer committees, secure corporate sponsorships, collect auction items, and coordinate logistics with venues, event planners, speakers, etc.
· Launch a new Corporate Popcorn Sale to elevate business relationships and annual revenue growth.
· Train on Bonterra for special events and donor communications. Continue educating on Bonterra and Blackbaud to ensure that they are being utilized to fullest capacity.
· Support the overall philanthropic efforts of the organization with donor research/cultivation, unit visits, data entry/collection, proposal preparation, event planning, public presentations, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
· Must be willing to accept and meet Scouting America’s leadership and membership standards.
· Subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
· Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required if applicant has the appropriate work experience.
· Attained 21 years of age or older unless prohibited by any applicable law.
· Ability to work varied hours when necessary – traveling, evening activities and weekend work are frequently required to achieve positive objectives.
· Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one week.
