Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Inspector III to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and precision of our aerospace and defense connectors' work by applying advanced inspection techniques and utilizing a full range of quality inspection instruments. This position requires a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, AS9102 first-article inspection, CMM operation, and a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform source inspections ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Perform precision inspections of machined parts using optical comparators, CMMs, and Keyence vision systems
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) using DISCUS in accordance with AS9102 and customers' requirements
- Inspect incoming raw materials and parts from outside processing and plating,
- Program/Operate Keyence Imaging system and CMMs using PC-DMIS software
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y 14.5.
- Participate in dispositions in response to Non-Conformance (NCRs)
- Promotes a fast pace, positive and growth orientated culture of accountability;
- Engaging in communication and collaboration with suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Review vendor certifications (COC) to verify conformity and proper traceability
- Use precision measurement equipment—such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gages, and other inspection tools.
- Identify and document nonconformances, defects, or quality issues
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCCA) processes
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve quality issues.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and parts from outside processing and plating,
- Support all QC areas, including receiving inspection and In-Process, Final Inspection
- Communicate inspection results to operations, engineering, and quality leadership.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into the quality database.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a plus.
- QMS experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with PC-DMIS software is a plus.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
This position starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
