Join our School Age Care (SAC) team and help create a safe, fun, and enriching experience for students after school. As a SAC Staff member, you will work with a team to lead and support engaging programming, and build meaningful relationships with youth in a dynamic environment.
Employment Details
- Multiple Mon. - Fri. shifts available from 2-6 PM
- Shifts are typical 3-4 hours in length. Non school day hours may vary
- Compensation: 17.40- $19.15 per hour based on the 2025-2027 salary schedule for district paraprofessionals. An additional hourly stipend may be available
- Training dates required for new hires: August 31 - September 4, 2026, (8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.)
- Program Dates: School year schedule: Sept. 8, 2026 - June 10, 2027, additional summer positions available
Reports To: Coordinator of School Age Care & Program Managers
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students.
- Guide children's behavior using a positive and consistent style.
- Ability to implement program procedures, including emergency procedures.
- Participate with children in activities.
- Assist in supervising field trips.
- Supervise children's indoor and outdoor playtimes.
- Must be able to work non-school days.
- Enforce proper hand washing and sanitizing.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are sanitized routinely.
- Attend monthly site meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environments & Physical Requirements
- Program locations: West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Eagan Community Schools
- Work takes place both indoors and outdoors.
- This role is active and hands-on
- Frequent movement (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 20 lbs)
- Outdoor supervision in varying weather conditions
- Participation in activities including recreational play
- Ability to walk up to 2 miles on uneven terrain
- Ability to present information to students
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Qualifications and Certifications (Provided and Willingness to Obtain)
- 17 years old or minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR, First Aid, AED
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- Mandated Reporter Training
