American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and cross-training between Med/Surg and the ED on night shifts.

Critical access hospital setting located approximately 2.5 hours from the nearest large hospital

Position is based in the Med/Surg unit with required floating to the Emergency Department
-
Patient population includes trauma cases related to a nearby major highway as well as elderly patients with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries
-
Uses CPSI for electronic medical records

12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week

No on-call responsibilities required

Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
-
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required; 2 years preferred

Must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg and the Emergency Department

Two supervisory references (Supervisor, Manager, or Director) preferred for consideration

A manager interview is required prior to offer

As a critical access hospital far from a major medical center, clinicians can expect to manage a broad spectrum of acute and emergent cases independently
