Substitute teachers are so important to support our teaching team.
We expect our subsitute teachers to provide instructional support for students in grades K–12 by maintaining continuity of learning during the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and adapting instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners across multiple grade levels and subject areas.
This position is 7.5 hours daily when Palm Bay is in need of a substitute to cover a class for the day. If you are looking for a part-time position this is for you! You would be added to our substitute list and called as needed when a teacher needs coverage.
Job duties include:
- Duties include managing classroom behavior, quickly interpreting and implementing lesson plans as well as keeping students on task.
- Instructing students from provided lesson plans.
- Duties as assigned by administration.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- working with students: 1 year (Required)
