Children's Art Classes-West Hempstead are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression in our students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art education, along with the ability to engage students in various artistic mediums. This role involves executiing a comprehensive art curriculum, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the overall development of each student.
Duties
- Implement engaging art lesson plans that align with the CAC franchise educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach various art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, charcoal, collage, printmaking, etc.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression among students.
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
- Mentor students in their artistic pursuits, providing guidance and support for individual projects.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom space that promotes exploration and experimentation in art.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably as an Art Teacher or similar role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey artistic concepts and engage students.
- Proficiency in various forms of art and familiarity with learning technology to enhance lesson delivery.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
