Summary Description: Plan, coordinate and direct quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the overall effectiveness of the quality management system
- Establish and maintain quality system and procedures
- Oversee the development of product quality plans and process controls that will ensure products meet specifications and standards
- Supervise employees in the quality assurance department; plan, assign and direct work
- Appraise performance
- Develop and analyze data and product specifications as needed
- Perform responsibilities as an ISO management representative to ensure that the requirements of ISO 9001 are implemented and maintained
- Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with the Plant Manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
- Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure control over materials and products
- Plan, promote and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability
- Investigate customer complaints regarding quality and pursue corrective action accordingly
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required:
Should have an Associate’s Degree from a two (2) year college or university, three (3) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis

Must have the ability to -
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and with several abstract and concrete variables
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, hand to feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
