Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, and general surgery experience in an acute care hospital using Epic EMR.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Circulate and assist during trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, ENT, plastics, GU/GYN, and general surgeries.
- Ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
- Administer blood products and maintain infection control standards.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
- Participate in on-call rotation and float within the Providence system as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience (5 years preferred).
- Trauma Level I experience required.
- Recent experience in Trauma, Orthopedics, Vascular, Neuro, and General Surgery.
- BLS Certification required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- Active California RN license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Robotics (Da Vinci Xi) experience.
- Experience with vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures.
- Community or teaching hospital experience.
Schedule Details
- 4x12 Night Shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Variable start times: 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM (as needed)
- On-call required (approximately 6–8 shifts every 6 weeks)
- Floating required within Providence facilities (Queen, Petaluma Valley, Healdsburg)
- One RTO request permitted if submitted with application
