Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Toddler Classroom to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting the social-emotional growth of toddlers. Your role is vital in creating a positive foundation for early childhood development, ensuring each child's needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social skills among toddlers.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including arrival and departure procedures, meal times, nap schedules, and activity transitions.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and address behavioral challenges constructively.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and assessments in compliance with licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers or preschoolers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or childcare is required; additional credentials in special education or toddler care are a plus.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activity, arts & crafts, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom confidently while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities. Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
