Overview
We are seeking someone with a passion for cooking and a joy for children.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry; bonus if you also have childcare experience.
Duties include but not limited to...
- Food prep and cooking
- Maintaining a clean and organized space
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, State sanitation rules, and State licensing compliance
- Collaborate with Kitchen Manager, school admin and teachers to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes to ensure consistency with State licensing requirements and school standards
- Assist in sanitizing toys, bottles, and other items for the classrooms
- Assist Kitchen Manager with other varied tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a facility that cooks large quantities vs individual meals
- Certified in or willing to obtain ServSafe certification
- Experience with best practices and food handling procedures.
- Experience in childcare is a plus!
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Great time management skills
The position requires someone to be available between 9:30am-3:30pm. Hours may vary week by week. This is a part-time position.
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
