Ideal Background & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP license valid in Texas (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Prior experience with pediatric and/or school-based populations, specifically in early childhood and elementary settings
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic support for varied speech and language disorders
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to support caseloads of varying complexity
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention services to students in K–12 settings
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain clear documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student support teams
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
