About the Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with Aspire Senior Living Poplar Bluff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, resident-centered care and support.
In this PRN/Per Diem position, you will be expected to work on an as-needed basis, with varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans designed to improve the functional abilities and independence of our residents.
Conduct daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
Provide support with transfers, ambulation, and mobility exercises as needed.
Monitor and report resident progress to the occupational therapist and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and therapy sessions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Completion of an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program.
CPR certification and willingness to obtain any required certifications or licenses.
