Overview:
We are seeking a Full TIme skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Hours:
Hours are a variable start time based on the surgery schedule as early as 6am and as late at 10am, we are open M-F 730-7pm, we staff based on the needs of the schedule. this position is for a full time surgical tech who is willing to work 5 days a week
Note: this position will also require working in the SPD and Instrument processing dept. we share the techs in that role.
Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
- Prepare and transport patients for surgery
- Collect and label specimens for laboratory analysis
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their safety during surgery
- Manage surgical equipment and supplies inventory
- Wash/process instruments per AORN guidelines, operate Autoclaves
Requirements:
- Certification or Associate's degree in Surgical Technology
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
- Proficiency in suture techniques
- Familiarity with infection control protocols in the operating room (OR)
- Ability to monitor vital signs and assist with patient care in critical care situations
- Strong data collection skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of hospital medicine practices and workflows
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic medical records systems like Epic
- Knowledge of maintaining sterile fields and infection control practices in the OR

- Orthopedic surgery: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
