Join a dynamic turf team as a Service Writer / Warranty Administrator. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication bridge between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring smooth service operations and accurate warranty processing. Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, listening carefully to their outdoor power equipment concerns to accurately document service needs
- Write detailed service estimates, including diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, hydro services, etc...
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Process warranty claims efficiently by verifying coverage, submitting necessary documentation, and following up on approvals or rejections
- Upsell additional services or maintenance opportunities by explaining benefits clearly and confidently to enhance customer value
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions including cash handling, service orders, and repair histories
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment status updates, repair recommendations, and billing details
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management and auto estimating procedures
- Hands-on mechanic experience or diagnostics knowledge to better understand repair processes
- Familiarity with lawn equipment repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency
- Competency in cash handling and administrative tasks related to warranty processing and service writing
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation of all transactions
