Yorktel is currently seeking a Proposal Manager who will take ownership of the entire RF(X) response process, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. This includes managing the bid/no-bid decision-making process to prioritize the right opportunities and guiding the proposal lifecycle through key stages such as bid assessment, requirements analysis, draft creation, response development, review cycles, and final delivery. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales leadership, engineering, and other teams to ensure cohesive and compelling proposals that align with company goals.
The Proposal Manager will play a hands-on role in crafting high-quality, tailored proposal content that reflects our company’s expertise and value proposition. By working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure that each proposal is strategically aligned with client needs and industry standards. Your strong writing skills and attention to detail will be critical in delivering persuasive and accurate responses that support our growth objectives.
This position also requires someone who can leverage Responsive, a premier content library software powered by AI and automation, and someone who can maintain and optimize our proposal content repository. This involves keeping the library up-to-date, accurate, and easily deployable to streamline the proposal development process. By utilizing Responsive’s advanced capabilities, you will enhance efficiency and ensure our proposals remain at the forefront of industry trends.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Overseeing the Proposal Development Process (Managing)
- Take ownership of the entire RF(X) response process, ensuring smooth execution from initiation to final delivery.

- Guide the proposal lifecycle through critical stages, including bid assessment, requirements analysis, draft creation, response development, review cycles, and submission.

Developing the Proposal Itself (Content Development)
- Craft high-quality, tailored proposal content that highlights the company’s expertise and value proposition.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are strategically aligned with client needs and industry standards.
- Apply strong writing skills and attention to detail to deliver persuasive, accurate, and impactful responses that support business growth.
Maintaining the Content Library (Responsive)
- Utilize Responsive, a premier AI-powered content library software, to maintain and optimize the proposal content repository.
- Ensure the content library remains up-to-date, accurate, and easily deployable to streamline the proposal development process.
- Leverage Responsive’s automation capabilities to enhance efficiency and ensure proposals reflect the latest industry trends and company offerings.
- This role is pivotal in driving process improvements, fostering collaboration, and delivering measurable impact on high-priority initiatives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Skills and Abilities:
Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite : Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Responsive content library software (desired).
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (desired).
- Familiarity with Adobe PDF tools for document preparation and editing (desired).

Education & Experience:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing proposals and managing the RF(X) process, including bid/no-bid decision-making, proposal lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven track record of successfully leading proposal development efforts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with AI-powered content library tools (e.g., Responsive) and advanced document preparation software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PDF) is highly desirable.
