Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverage options, including wine and spirits.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and beverages professionally, including cocktail service, drink mixing, and handling spirits with knowledge of proper techniques.
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling duties accurately, process payments efficiently, and balance registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Provide excellent guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
