Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing cash, credit card, and mobile payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning counters, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Manage food industry standards for food safety, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Support team members during busy periods by efficiently managing serving duties and ensuring quick turnaround times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or café environments with barista experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food preparation techniques
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Experience in beverage service, including coffee preparation and non-alcoholic drink crafting
