Float Care Professional (Part-Time & Full-Time)

Home Instead in New Albany, IN is hiring dependable, adaptable Care Professionals to serve as Float team members in both part-time and full-time roles. This position is ideal for experienced caregivers who enjoy variety and can confidently step in to support multiple clients as needs change.
Float team members provide coverage for call-ins, vacations, and open shifts—no permanent client assignment—offering meaningful work with residents who truly appreciate you.
Available Schedules
Part-Time (2 Positions):
- Morning: 20–24 hrs/week, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon: 20–24 hrs/week, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Includes some hours every other weekend
Full-Time:
- 36 hrs/week (four 8-hour weekday shifts)
- Plus 4-hour shifts on Saturday & Sunday every other weekend
- Must be available 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on personal care (bathing, toileting, grooming)
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safety supervision
- Meal prep, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Transportation for errands and appointments
- Adapt quickly to different clients and environments
- Communicate updates with the office team
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on senior care experience (in-home preferred)
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care experience
- Comfortable assisting male & female clients
- Pet-friendly and willing to work in smoking environments
- Basic smartphone/computer skills for documentation
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle & clean driving record
- Able to travel throughout Clark & Floyd Counties
- Pass background check & drug screening
