Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) mechanic with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and repair. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, and systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues using schematics, technical drawings, and specialized industrial tools such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on aircraft structures, powerplants, flight control systems, and related components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, CAD drawings (including AutoCAD), CATIA models, and engineering troubleshooting guides to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), ammeters, ohmmeters, and calipers to ensure components meet strict specifications.
- Document all maintenance actions accurately within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) while adhering to AS9100 standards for quality management.
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of aircraft components during repairs or modifications while following safety protocols for heavy lifting and the use of specialized industrial tools.
- Support flight line maintenance activities by ensuring aircraft are prepared for safe operations in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience working as an A&P mechanic within an aviation maintenance facility or military aviation environment.
- Proven expertise with aircraft structural repair including sheet metal work and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Strong electrical experience including interpreting wiring schematics and performing avionics troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards such as AS9100 is highly desirable.
- Experience working with military or civilian aircraft systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance and certification procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD; experience with CATIA is advantageous.
