Primary Task: The primary task of the Administrative Assistant is to perform clerical and general administrative duties in support of the mission of Flame of Faith United Methodist Church.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Compiles, prepares, and maintains various church records, reports and other administrative related items, including:
· Welcome and greet visitors during the week
· Prepare and print bulletins
· Edit and email/mail newsletters
· Maintain the church calendar
· Update the church attendance records in IconCMO
· Music Usage reporting for CCLI
· Answer the phone and email
· Organize the bulletin boards
· Prepare the annual conference table forms
· Prepare the annual church conference booklet
· Order office and Christian education supplies
· Produce and post weekly worship video to YouTube
· Maintain Kids’ Worship Bags and Neurodiversity supplies
2. Membership secretary. Maintains the membership records of the church including:
· New Membership
· Marriages
· Professions of Faith
· Births
· Transfers of Membership
· Deaths
3. Organize and Supervise Volunteers in coordination with the Pastor
4. Maintain the church’s Facebook account, YouTube and Website in coordination with Pastor.
5. Advertising in coordination with the Pastor.
6. Assist with Financial Accountability
· Enter invoices in IconCMO
· Take weekly deposit to bank
· Reconcile bank account in IconCMO
· Other, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· Three years of clerical experience, preferably in a church setting
· Maintain confidentiality of information
· Computer Skills: Microsoft Office; Google Docs, forms, Slides, and Sheets; Icon Church Management; Presenter Worship Software; Weebly website management; Outlook,
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Productivity with minimal supervision
· Excellent organizational skills

Supervision
Reports to and supervised by the Pastor with general oversight by the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC)
Hours
12 hours per week with 3 hours per day/4 day work week preferred, but can be coordinated with the Pastor.
Compensation
- Paid 2x/month and reviewed annually. Pay based on experience.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
