Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, handing out order, answering phones, Helpingh customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual or auto transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) as required during deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Must pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding safety and conduct.
Pay Example Compensation
Compensation:
Drivers average $17 - $25hr
- Drivers are now paid $10 an hour
- Drivers average $4.00 per delivery in tips
- Drivers average 2 deliveries per hour
- Hourly tips avg. = $8.00hr
- Hourly tips of $8.00 + $10/hr pay = $18.00hr
- $18.00hr x 40hr a week = $720 a week
- 50 weeks a year (took 2 weeks off for vacation) = $36,000
