4D Signworx, LTD is a Houston sign company established in 1968—still going strong in 2026. We’re hiring an Entry-Level Shop Helper to support our fabrication, paint, vinyl, and assembly teams. This is a great role for someone dependable who wants steady work, real skills, and a clear path to grow in the sign industry.
No sign experience required—we’ll train the right person.
What you’ll do
You’ll help keep production moving by assisting across the shop, including:
- Organizing materials, parts, and job packets; staging work for fabrication/assembly
- Loading/unloading materials and moving parts safely around the shop
- Basic prep work: cleaning, sanding/scuffing, deburring, masking, and general shop prep
- Helping with packaging/crating to protect finished signs for delivery/installation
- Assisting with cleanup and keeping work areas safe and organized
- Running errands inside the shop and supporting leads as needed
As you learn, you may also help with:
- Basic vinyl prep (masking/weeding), trimming, or simple application
- Assisting painters with prep and masking
- Assisting assemblers with hardware, faces, and general assembly tasks
What we’re looking for
Required
- Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow directions and work safely with tools and equipment
- Good attitude and teamwork mindset—this role supports multiple departments
- Ability to stay organized and work steadily in a busy production environment
Preferred (nice to have)
- Any shop, construction, warehouse, or hands-on work experience
- Basic hand tool familiarity (drill/driver, grinder, tape measure, etc.)
- Forklift experience/certification (not required)
Work environment & physical requirements
- Shop environment with noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Standing, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout the day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance as needed
- Must follow PPE requirements (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
Pay, schedule & growth
- Pay: $16 to $18 an hour to start.
- Schedule: Mon–Fri 6:00am to 2:30pmovertime as needed
- Opportunity to grow into: Fabrication, Assembly, Vinyl/Print, Paint, or Install
