Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial, venous, and venous studies, ensuring accuracy and clarity in imaging results.
- Assist with interventional venous procedures by providing real-time imaging support and physiological assessments.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain patient safety during procedures, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to interpret findings accurately and communicate results effectively to physicians.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations within the vascular lab environment, supporting interventional procedures with precise imaging documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, images, and patient information in compliance with protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent credential from a recognized professional organization.
- Proven experience performing vascular sonography in diverse clinical settings, including vein centers or vascular medicine environments.
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology techniques, venous procedures, and anatomy relevant to vascular imaging.
- Familiarity with physiology concepts such as vital signs monitoring and patient assessment during procedures.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Experience working in vascular labs or similar environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced situations requiring critical thinking.
