Job Overview
Join our team as a Sales and Live Selling Associate for a fishing tackle retail business. In this role, you will help customers find the right fishing gear, tackle, rods, reels, lures, bait, line, hooks, apparel, and accessories while creating an engaging shopping experience both in-store and through live selling sessions.
You will assist customers, showcase available merchandise, explain product features, demonstrate items, and help drive sales through strong customer service and product knowledge. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable talking with customers, interested in fishing gear, and confident presenting products during live sales.
Responsibilities
- Host and assist with live selling sessions to showcase fishing-related merchandise, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, line, hooks, bait, apparel, and accessories
- Demonstrate product features, benefits, and uses during live streams and in-store interactions
- Help customers choose products based on their needs, budget, and fishing preferences
- Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and through online/live selling platforms
- Process sales accurately using the point-of-sale system, including cash, card, and receipt handling
- Promote new arrivals, special deals, bundles, and featured items during live sessions and in-store visits
- Keep product displays, shelves, and sales areas clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing
- Assist with inventory by checking stock levels, restocking merchandise, and tracking product movement
- Support daily store operations and help maintain a clean, professional retail environment
- Recommend related items such as hooks, line, sinkers, tackle boxes, tools, bait, and accessories when appropriate
Experience
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of fishing gear, tackle, or fishing-related products is preferred
- Experience with live selling, product demos, social media sales, or on-camera presentations is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is helpful
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus
- Ability to stay organized, multitask, and work in a fast-paced retail setting
- Merchandising, stocking, inventory, or supervisory experience is beneficial
- Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable engaging with customers both in person and online
