American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool M/S Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute care experience, willingness to float across 8 units, and an active MA RN license.

Float Pool position requiring rotation across 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)

371-bed hospital with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
-
Patient population includes ED border patients, patients in the acute mental health unit (medication nurse role), and non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients

Patient ratios: up to 5:1 on Days and Eves; up to 6:1 on Nights
-
Telemetry monitoring required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours

TR Band experience required; cardiac drips management required

EMR: Epic (charting)

Schedule: Days/Eves rotating with 1 to 3 Night rotations per contract; every other weekend required

13-week contract

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA only; Red Cross and other providers not accepted at this facility)

Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location required

Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including strip interpretation and cardiac drips

TR Band experience required

2 professional references required for consideration

Active MA RN license required at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
