LeoPalace Resort Guam is seeking an experienced and people-focused Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions for our hotel and resort. As a member of the executive leadership team, this role partners closely with the General Manager and department leaders to build a positive workplace culture and support operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and retention initiatives.
- Develop and administer HR policies, procedures, compensation, benefits, leave, attendance, and workers’ compensation programs.
- Guide managers on employee performance, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and support timely payroll administration.
- Monitor staffing trends and HR performance indicators and manage the annual HR budget.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and service-focused workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least five years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or management experience.
- Hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, recruitment, benefits, and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, discretion, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Ability to support a 24-hour operation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
