Job Overview
The Chinese Wok position is essential in delivering authentic and high-quality Chinese cuisine to our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes using traditional cooking methods and ingredients. Duties
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes, including stir-fry, dumplings, and noodles, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of all dishes served.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Assist in menu development by providing input on new dish ideas or improvements to existing recipes.
Skills
- Proficiency in traditional Chinese cooking techniques, particularly wok cooking.
- Strong understanding of flavor profiles and ingredient pairings commonly used in Chinese cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
