The Mechanic position will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on bowling, kitchen, HVAC, Plumbing, and/or equipment that Management brings to their attention.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
· Maintains bowling lanes, pinsetters, pins, ball returns, bowling balls, scoring equipment, and all other related mechanical components.
· Identifies replacement parts and supplies; prepares orders.
· Performs rebuilds and overhauls of equipment as necessary.
· Maintains accurate records of parts, costs, and machine performance.
· Knowledge of bowling and pinsetter equipment.
· Ability to use basic hand tools, lubrication equipment, voltage meters, and power tools.
· Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems on sophisticated machinery and to perform precision mechanical and electrical adjustments.
· Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment. For example, replacing air filters and cleaning coils.
· Ability to read building schematics.
· Basic knowledge of plumbing. Troubleshooting leaks and replacing automated faucets and toilets.
· Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
· Recap each shift with detailed notes of any issues and all tasks accomplished.
· Help fix any R&M issues throughout the kitchen, dining rooms, or any other areas in and around the building.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Further assist other employees in their departments if applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Completion of Brunswick training program preferred but not required
· Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
· Be able to reach above and below shoulders, bend, stoop, squat, and twist repetitively throughout the shift.
· Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
· Be subject to higher than normal noise levels
· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
· Must be able to tolerate hot and cold temperatures. Whether being inside or outside or working on hot and cold equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Highschool Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required
· Apprentice-level experience appreciated, full training in any area is not required as we will teach you what is required in our own building.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Be able to communicate effectively and clearly
· English preferred, not required to be bilingual
