Asset Coordinator

The Asset Coordinator at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. supports the effective management, tracking, and lifecycle administration of company-owned assets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring tools, equipment, vehicles, and other assets are accurately recorded, properly maintained, and available to support operational needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to collaborate effectively across departments to support asset accountability and efficiency.
Overview:
The Asset Coordinator works closely with operations, field leadership, warehouse, and administrative teams to coordinate asset allocation, tracking, and documentation. This position maintains accurate asset records, supports onboarding and offboarding processes related to equipment, assists with audits and reconciliations, and helps ensure compliance with company policies regarding asset use and control. The role contributes to operational efficiency by providing visibility into asset availability and condition.
A Day in the Life:

Maintain accurate records of company assets, including tools, equipment, vehicles, and assigned property
- Coordinate asset issuance, transfers, and returns for employees, projects, and locations
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes by tracking assigned assets and ensuring proper documentation
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations of physical assets against system records
- Assist with tracking asset maintenance, inspections, and replacement schedules
- Collaborate with warehouse, field leadership, and administrative teams to ensure asset availability and accountability
- Investigate missing, damaged, or unreturned assets and assist with resolution and reporting
- Update asset management systems and databases to ensure accurate and timely information
- Prepare reports related to asset utilization, inventory levels, and discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement of asset tracking processes and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to asset management
- Perform other asset coordination and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in asset coordination, inventory control, logistics, or administrative support
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience maintaining records or databases related to inventory or assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with asset or inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with field and office personnel
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of integrity and accountability when handling company property
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
