Pyramid Healthcare and High Focus Centers have a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional outpatient behavioral health services throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. We offer comprehensive, individualized treatment to adolescents and adults facing mental health, substance use, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and clinically skilled Creative Art Therapist to join our outpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about using expressive arts to promote healing, self-discovery, and recovery.
The Creative Art Therapist is responsible for providing expressive arts-based therapeutic services across multiple outpatient behavioral health programs. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Art Therapy and Dance/Movement Therapy who are passionate about helping adolescents and adults process emotions, build insight, develop coping skills, and support recovery through creative expression.
Using visual arts, movement, and other experiential interventions, this role works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to enhance client engagement and support individualized treatment goals.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups utilizing art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and other expressive arts interventions tailored to client needs and treatment objectives.
- Design and implement creative, experiential programming that promotes emotional expression, self-awareness, skill development, and recovery.
- Prepare session plans, activities, and materials for scheduled groups.
- Observe client participation and communicate relevant clinical observations to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with therapists, clinical leadership, and program staff to support treatment planning and service delivery.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment during all sessions.
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow established safety protocols.
- Participate in required supervision, team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
- Travel between assigned outpatient program locations as scheduled.
- Work approximately 15–20 hours per week based on program needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies, ethical standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Complete all required trainings and other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Art Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
- ATR or ATR-BC strongly preferred.
- BC-DMT strongly preferred.
- Candidates actively pursuing ATR or BC-DMT credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Experience facilitating expressive arts, experiential, movement-based, or creative therapy groups in behavioral health settings preferred.
- LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or other clinical licensure preferred but not required.
- Music Therapists (MT-BC) will also be considered; however, preference may be given to candidates with Art Therapy or Dance/Movement Therapy training and experience.
