We're looking for a skilled, mechanically-minded Field Service Technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working directly with customers, and solving problems in industrial environments.
Position Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer facilities to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, equipment startups, and troubleshooting on industrial compressed air systems and related equipment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, learning new systems, and solving mechanical and electrical problems in the field.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial air compressors and related equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair and replace components as needed
- Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Complete service reports and accurately document equipment conditions, repairs performed, and observed issues
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company at customer facilities
- Travel throughout Nebraska, South Dakota, and Western Iowa to support customer needs
- Work safely in industrial and manufacturing environments
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, service, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass customer site requirements when necessary
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Air compressors
- Industrial maintenance
- HVAC systems
- Electric motors and controls
- Manufacturing equipment
- Electro-mechanical systems
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting
Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Travel Requirements
Travel is a regular part of this position.
- Most weeks include one overnight stay
- Occasional additional overnight travel may be required
- Company-paid hotel accommodations
- Per diem provided for overnight travel
- Additional travel premium pay available
- Territory includes Nebraska, South Dakota, and Western Iowa
