About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing provider of electronic security and technology solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electronic Security Installer with expertise in system programming, commissioning, and advanced troubleshooting.
This role is critical to the successful deployment and support of intrusion detection, video surveillance, and access control systems across commercial environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading projects in the field, and mentoring junior technicians.

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Programming & Commissioning (Primary Focus)
- Program, configure, and commission electronic security systems, including:
- DMP intrusion/security platforms
- March Networks video management systems
- Hanwha camera systems and VMS configurations
- Verint video solutions
- Validate end-to-end system functionality, including:
- Device communication
- Network connectivity
- Recording and storage
- Remote access
- Alerts and notifications
- Troubleshoot advanced technical issues related to:
- IP addressing and network connectivity
- PoE systems
- Bandwidth limitations
- VLANs and port configurations
Installation, Service & Field Execution
- Lead installation and service of:
- Alarm and intrusion systems
- Video surveillance systems
- Access control systems
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling including CAT5/6, coaxial, and composite cabling
- Read and interpret:
- Blueprints
- Riser diagrams
- Schematics
- Scope documents
- Ensure installations are clean, organized, and code compliant
- Coordinate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal project teams
Mentorship & Team Support
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior technicians
- Provide hands-on training in:
- System programming
- Installation best practices
- Troubleshooting methodologies
- Promote consistency, quality workmanship, and professional development across the team
Documentation & Professional Standards
- Complete project and service documentation, including:
- Punch lists
- Programming notes
- As-built drawings
- Closeout documentation
- Communicate project status, risks, and solutions clearly and professionally
- Adhere to company safety policies and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in low-voltage, electronic security, or related systems
- Strong experience with:
- Intrusion and alarm systems
- Video surveillance systems
- Access control systems
- Hands-on programming experience with DMP, March Networks, Hanwha, Verint, or equivalent platforms
- Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, PoE, and IP addressing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
Preferred Qualifications
- DMP Entre Certification
- Manufacturer certifications from March Networks, Verint, Hanwha, or similar providers
- Experience with:
- System integrations
- Remote monitoring solutions
- Enterprise and multi-site deployments
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours when project demands require
