Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage multiple drink orders efficiently using POS systems such as Toast, while maintaining excellent time management.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and alcohol serving regulations; handle food and beverages responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Accurately process cash transactions and handle cashing out using POS systems; perform basic math for billing purposes.
- Assist in setting up bar areas for events like banquets or catering functions; support food service staff as needed.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking; intervene when necessary to uphold safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy nights or special events such as nightclub nights or large parties.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment such as dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, ability to quickly adapt to different platforms.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service with the ability to engage diverse clientele effectively.
- Experience with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques within the food industry.
- Familiarity with retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures to ensure accurate transactions.
- Background in hospitality or food service roles that require multitasking under pressure.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage trends is a plus; experience working in catering or retail math is beneficial.
