In this rewarding role, you will plan and lead engaging activities that promote residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. From group events and games to one-on-one interactions, you'll help create opportunities for connection, purpose, and joy while supporting residents in maintaining their highest level of independence.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, social, and therapeutic activities based on resident interests, abilities, and needs

Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment

Support resident rights by assisting with Resident Council meetings and addressing concerns appropriately

Collaborate with nursing staff, volunteers, families, and other team members to provide meaningful engagement opportunities

Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas in a safe and organized manner

Document resident participation and activities in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Partner with the interdisciplinary care team to support residents' overall well-being and individualized care goals

This part-time position is primarily scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 16.5 hours each week. Flexibility is important, as occasional Saturday coverage may be needed to support special events and resident activities.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent

Possess a current driver's license and have or be willing to obtain a CPR certification and a Food Handler certification

Energetic, patient-focused, creative, and confident when speaking to small groups

Comfortable working with individuals of varying physical and cognitive abilities

Able to manage schedules, coordinate events, and maintain clear documentation
