What You'll Do
As a PTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled, hands-on therapy services that help residents improve their strength, mobility, balance, independence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a PT
- Implementing individualized treatment plans
- Addressing strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional needs
- Monitoring resident progress and response to treatment
- Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and mobility strategies
- Communicating resident progress and concerns to the supervising PT
- Completing timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborating with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
What We're Looking For
- Active Texas Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
- In good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
- LTC/SNF, geriatric, or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Net Health experience is a plus
- Passion for helping residents maintain mobility, function, and independence
