Position Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our financial administration team. This role reports directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and will focus on data-driven receivables management, cost analysis, and insurance/clawback recovery.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic environment of logistics and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness within the factoring company portal.
- Review load data for inaccuracies as needed across the TMS system and factoring platform.
- Investigate and recover claw backs, insurance claims, and disputed payments. Analyze load-level profitability, identifying discrepancies and supporting collections on overpayments or incorrectly paid carriers and factoring companies.
- Build and maintain data reports to track receivables, costs, and asset-related expenses.
- Collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve payment disputes and confirm receivable balances.
- Provide financial data analysis to support leadership decisions and operational cost control.
- Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with large-scale data projects and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement in financial administration workflows and SOPs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial operations.
- Strong experience in data analysis tools (Excel required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics/transportation environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for handling payment disputes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain finance.
- Experience in insurance claims and freight payment recovery.
- Ability to design and interpret dashboards, KPI reports, and cost models.
